The Amazing Online Race brings the hit TV Show The Amazing Race to the internet world. Players will sign up as teams and race against each other as they decipher online clues in order to get to the next pitstop.

The game has completed four seasons. In the first three seasons there was only one host. However, from the forth season on, there was a Co-Host.

Race Concept & Information

The Amazing Online Race is live, meaning that one leg will all take place in one night and your placing is the exact order you check into the pitstop. After each leg of the race, while at the pitstop you will have a set of confessional questions to complete. These need to be completed before checking into the next pitstop. In addition, the winner of each of the first 11 legs will receive a prize to be used in any of the following legs (unless told otherwise).

Teams will need to complete various tasks in order to reach the pitstop. Each clue will have its own board. Teams will each be given the password to the first clue at the same time. Once they get there first clue, they will use the correct answer to unlock Clue two. They will continue this up until the pitstop. However, at a Detour if teams choose option A then they will enter there password in Clue 9.1. If teams choose option B then they will enter there password in Clue 9.2.

Prizes:

Prizes will be handed out to the winner of each of the first 11 legs of the race. Prizes must be used by the end of Leg 12 (unless told otherwise). The following prizes are available:

1. Two Minute Head Start

2. Pre Run (If you can't be online, you will run the leg before everyone else, if you take 6 minutes, and the clue is posted at 6:00 for everyone else then that would mean 6:06.

3. Immune from Yield

4. Choosing the Time for the next leg of the race.

5. Identity (In Hidden Identities, the leg winner could have one identity of his choice revealed).

Route Markers

Image:Sign_routemarker.gif

You will encounter various Route Marker tasks throughout the race. You will always have one at the very beginning of the leg and before the pitstop. In addition, these will be before each and every Roadblock and Detour. If you fail to complete a Route Marker or give up, you may opt to take a 20 minute penalty. You will PM me and your penalty will begin. Once it has ended, the password will be PMed to you. Once you have started your penalty you may not change your mind and complete the task without the penalty.

Image:Sign_ff.gif

There will be a total of 10 Fast Forwards throughout the race (Legs 2-11). The first team to complete the FF task and PM me the correct answers will win the FF. However, you may only use your FF once throughout the race so you must decide when it is most adventageous to do so. Winning the FF does automatically win you the leg.

Image:Sign_yield.gif

There will be a total of three Yields throughout the race. When you arrive at the Yield Marker you will see a list of names descending down. You must look through the list and see if you have been Yielded. If you choose not to Yield write, Rob & Rebecca choose not to Yield. If you can't Yield whether it is because someone has already used the Yield or you have already used yours on a previous Yield Point then write the following, Rob & Rebecca can't Yield. If you choose to Yield them write the following, Rob & Rebecca choose to Yield Emily & Tyler. The Yielded Team will continue the race as normal but will have 12 Minutes added onto there Pitstop Arrival Time. In addition, if you are Yielded you may not use your Fast Forward on the next leg of the race. You may only use your Yield once.

Image:Sign_roadblock.gif

Each leg of the race will have a Roadblock. Due to the fact that we are not in teams we will not do Roadblocks by as the way they are done on the show. Instead, a Roadblock will be similiar to a Route Info Task but will be a bit harder to complete. If you fail to complete a Roadblock task or give up then you may opt to take a 30 Minute Penalty. After you decide to start your penalty you may not end by claiming you found the answer halfway through. You will PM me that you are taking a penalty. In 30 minutes (when the penalty is over) I will PM you the password for the next clue.

Image:Sign_detour.gif

Each leg of the race will have a Detour. In each Detour, you will be able to choose between to tasks. Each of these tasks will have their own pros and cons. However, usually both tasks will take similiar amount of time and/or effort but not always. It is up for you to decide which tasks best suits the strengths of your team. Since this is a Detour and you have two choices the penalty for failing to complete and/or giving up is one hour. You will PM me that you have opted to take the penalty. Then, when your penalty is up the Host will PM you the password for the next clue. Once you have started your penalty you may not end it, you must complete it.

Image:Amazingraceintersectionht3.PNG

An Intersection is a task in which to teams must work together to successfully complete a task. There will be one intersection on the race. Once you are in the Intersection thread put your name on the list. You will then choose who you want to work with but only once there name is on the list you may begin the task. Once you have chose who you are working with you will need to remove both you and your partners name from the list. Once you and your partner are done you will need to PM me the answer. Once I have got the answer from both you and your team mate the Host will PM you the password for the next clue.

Image:Sign_pitstop.gif

Each leg of the race will have a Pitstop. Once you have made your way to the Pitstop Topic you will need to complete the task and send me the answer. Once you have sent the correct answer you will be checked into the pitstop. You will be PMed your leg placing. You also may go to the Pitstop Chat Board. You may discuss the leg but not any answers to clues until it has been completed by all teams.
